February Give: Mamatoto Village Now reading:

For our February Give, we partnered with Mamatoto Village to help equip Black women with the necessary resources and tools to make informed decisions in their maternity care, parenting, and lives. We are proud to donate baby and children's clothing to Black mothers in need.

Mamatoto Village was founded with the mission to offer creative solutions to combat racism and health disparities for Black mothers, babies, and their families. By creating career pathways in maternal health and providing accessible perinatal services, their approach cultivates a space for resistance, restoration, and reclamation towards a more just world to live, love, birth, raise children, and sustain our families.

Today, they offer a variety of services from doula care, to parent education, to lactation support, for families across the D.C. area. With the recognition that each family is on a unique journey in parenthood, Mamatoto Village works to provide the resources and community to enable every parent to thrive.
