We love following along with you and your littles as they grow! Being a mom is so much more than just changing diapers and rocking your babe to sleep. That's why we love to hear from the moms behind it all on daily life and the ups and downs that you face, plus all of the precious little moments. This month we're introducing you to Logan, a mama of Olivia Jean and spreader of love for your body and style.
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
Hi! I’m Logan and I’m a first-time mom to our baby girl Olivia. I’m a project manager by day and lifestyle blogger by night! I love helping women feel confident in their bodies at every size, celebrate their personal style and recognize their worth through various seasons of life. I found out I was pregnant with Olivia right before the pandemic, so I spent all of my 2nd and 3rd trimester in quarantine, as well as my entire postpartum journey so far. It’s been a wild ride and an experience we will certainly never forget.
What's the most rewarding part of motherhood?
The most rewarding thing about being a mom is the unconditional love you feel for your child. Even though phases can be tough and there are days where you think you’re going crazy, you love them all the same. Through the good and the bad you will always be there for them and you see their acknowledgment of that love through their sweet smiles and comforting snuggles.
What's the most surprising thing you've discovered about being a mom?
The rollercoaster of emotions. I didn’t realize how much of an effect the hormone fluctuations, exhaustion and learning curve have on you until I went through it. As a mom you experience the highest of highs then the lowest of lows all in a day.

How do you take time for yourself? What does it look like?
Self care means finding moments in each day to do something for myself so that I can best show up for others. I always have to remind myself that I can’t fill others’ cups if mine is empty. These days, that looks like taking a shower and getting dressed each morning. It helps me feel like myself and face the day with confidence. I also like to take some quiet time during the day to reflect on what I’m grateful for. It helps me re-focus, especially when I’m dealing with something challenging.
What chore would you forever outsource?
Washing breast pump components! I’m really grateful that I can provide breastmilk for my baby, but getting it out is quite the task and then on top of that you’re washing the parts for your pump what feels like a million times a day! If someone knows of a tiny dishwasher made specifically for this task please tell me where to buy it...ha!

What advice would you give to an expecting mama?
Know when to ask for help. There is nothing worse than an overtired parent with a newborn. Listen to your body and your instincts. When you need to take a break, voice it to your support system. Even if it's just five minutes to yourself!
If I’m ever alone with Olivia and feel myself just getting to my edge, I lay her down in her crib or put her in her bouncer and walk to another room. I take a deep breath and do what I need to calm down then go back at it. It’s amazing the difference that can make for you and baby!
