5 Adorable Valentine's Activities for Toddlers

 /

Can you feel the love? Valentine’s day is right around the corner and we’ve found some super adorable activities to do with the toddlers in your life!

Sensory Sticky Wall

Check out this super cute sensory activity from The Mama Notes. All you need are some valentine craft materials (pom poms, feathers, felt hearts, etc.) and clear contact paper to tape up in a kid friendly zone around the house. Start with having your little help you choose what to put in the box, place it by where the sticky paper is, show your little how it works and let their imagination go wild with this fun and easy activity. The options are endless!

Dipped Pretzels

We love these easy and delicious pretzels for Valentine’s day! All you need are pretzel sticks, candy melts or vanilla frosting (add a dash of red color dye to make pink frosting- or more for red!), valentine’s themed sprinkles, wax paper, and a baking sheet. Caroline at Swaddles n’ Bottles set up an assembly line with her little girl- she dipped the pretzels, and then let her toddler decorate it with sprinkles however she wanted. If your kids are old enough, let them try the dipping part too and supervise!

Love You To Pieces Printable

Here’s a fun and easy Valentine’s craft for your babe! Print the downloadable page here or make your own and cut out some pieces of red and pink construction paper (or tissue paper works great!), then instruct your toddler to take the pieces of paper and glue them inside the heart. Watch as they get creative with where they place the paper, and if they place it outside the heart it’s still an adorable gift for your significant other or the grandparents!

Finger Paint Art

This is a super cute way for your little to use their hands and make a masterpiece of their own! Start with a blank canvas and some masking tape- make a heart or other Valentine’s themed design with the tape, then let your babe smear paint onto the canvas. It’s a great way for them to use their motor skills to create and explore. Once they are done painting, let it dry, then peel the tape off to reveal the adorable finished painting.

Snuggle Up with a Book!

Pick out a couple Valentine’s themed books at your local library and snuggle up on the couch to read with your littles. Here are a few of our favorite's that we suggest!

  1. Love from The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle

  2. Llama Llama I Love You by Anna Dewdney

  3. Sweet Hearts by Amy E Sklansky

  4. Peek-a-Boo I Love You! by Sandra Magsamen

  5. Huggy Kissy by Leslie Patricelli

Whatever you do with your littles this Valentine’s day, we hope it’s filled with sweet snuggles and lots of love. Check out our Pinterest for some more fun toddler activities and have a happy Valentine’s Day!
