2022: Our Year In Review

 /

2022 was a big year at Colored Organics, full of cozy new collections (and textures!), a growing team, and some of our most significant give-back initiatives yet! The year brought lots of change and challenges, but we were constantly reminded of how lucky we are to have the support of our amazing customers, wholesale partners, and the Colored Organics team.

Together, we successfully gave over $346,970 and provided clothing to thousands of children in need.

Bushwick Ayuda Mutua

We kicked off the year by braving the frigid weather in Minneapolis and reuniting as a team after the holidays. We partnered with Bushwick Ayuda Mutua to help provide necessities and lasting resources for families in the Bushwick neighborhood in New York City.

Room to Grow

During the month of February, we released our Savannah Collection, inspired by the rich colors and soft breezes of the Savannah landscape. This month, we donated baby and children's clothing to Room to Grow to help equip low-income families with the essentials to create a strong foundation for their little ones.

Community of Hope

In March, we celebrated International Women's Day by honoring all of the incredible women in our lives. As a woman-owned and operated company, we believe in the magic and power of women everywhere to change the world. We partnered with Community of Hope for the month to help serve families in need of affordable healthcare and housing.

Rainforest Trust

In honor of Earth Day on April 22, we launched our very first Print with a Purpose—our Palm Print—with the commitment to donate 20% of the proceeds to the Rainforest Trust to help preserve rainforest habitats and the endangered species that inhabit them. With this collection, we were happy to have been able to donate a total of $8,013. Additionally, the Colored Organics team ventured outside of the office for a team cleanup in our local neighborhood in Minneapolis. We spent an afternoon collecting trash and cleaning up the streets around our city.

Mother to Mother

April showers brought May flowers, and this month we celebrated warmer weather in Minnesota and all of the mothers in our lives for Mother's Day. We partnered with Mother to Mother to help provide moms in the Nashville area with baby essentials like clothing and diapers.

With Love Oregon

In June, we released new summer styles with the Farm Collection. We partnered with With Love Oregon to help support foster families in the Portland area. Additionally, we donated over $2000 worth of clothing to Options for Women, an organization that provides women facing unplanned pregnancies with free and confidential services.

Operation Showers of Appreciation

During July, we welcome a variety of new styles to Colored Organics with our Muslin and French Terry Collections. We celebrated Independence Day with a special Print with a Purpose—our Patriot Print. We launched with the commitment to donate 20% of the proceeds to Operation Showers of Appreciation to support military families in need. In total, we were happy to have donated $5,234 from this collection. Along with that, we introduced our CO Ambassador program!

The MICAH House

We said goodbye to summer and hello to the back-to-school season during the month of August! This month, we partnered with theMICAH Houseto support families experiencing homelessness with various resources, including counseling services, meals, clothing, and their kids' program. We also hosted our biggest Sample Sale from our office in Minneapolis! We had a great turnout and enjoyed meeting many moms and families from our local area.

WestSide Baby and EveryMom Chicago

September was quite a busy month for us in the Colored Organics office! We enjoyed the last warm days of the year as we prepped for two photoshoots and several new collections and launched our [CO]mmunity blog series. On top of it all, we partnered with two incredible organizations, WestSide Baby and EveryMom Chicago, to help equip underserved communities with necessary items for supporting babies' health and safety.

OpenOutdoors for Kids

We kicked off October with the release of several new fall collections: the Explorer, Lounge, and Waffle Collections. With the Explorer Collection, we released our Camper print, another print with a purpose. We pledged to donate 20% of the proceeds from each Camper item to OpenOutdoors For Kids through the National Parks Foundation to make outdoor experiences accessible to kids everywhere. With the launch of this exclusive print, we are happy to have donated a total of $2,100.
