Motherhood is a journey as unique as you are, so it can often feel like you're doing it alone. Here at Colored Organics, we love to unite you together, even if it's only virtually, to share some wisdom and camaraderie on the rollercoaster journey of parenting. We are so excited to share some motherhood insights from Texas-based mama, Verenice!

My name is Verenice! I’m a mother of 2 girls. I enjoy taking photos and capturing special moments. I love spending quality time with my family. I really enjoy connecting with moms through Instagram as we all navigate through our own special journey through motherhood.
WHAT'S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A PARENT?
Getting to watch them learn and grow, the pure joy of just watching them be kids and re-living all those first moments when they have discovered how to do things on their own!
WHAT IS THE MOST SURPRISING THING ABOUT PARENTHOOD?
The most surprising thing about parenthood to me is I’ve grown so much as a person, more loving and patient. Also, how challenging it can be at times while experiencing the hardest trials of life. From running on little sleep to doing a million things at once, and that I can’t always control things, because in reality life isn’t perfect. Every day is different. Some days are more challenging than others, but becoming a mom has also been a blessing.
WHAT DOES SELF-CARE LOOK LIKE TO YOU?
Relaxing, taking a trip to my favorite stores Target, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods. I don’t even have to buy anything! Sometimes getting out of the house and looking at all the things makes me happy.
WHAT CHORE WOULD YOU FOREVER OUTSOURCE?
Definitely putting up laundry, and unloading the dishwasher!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF COLORED ORGANICS?
My favorite part of Colored Organics is their overall mission! The clothing is ethically made and of organic cotton, gentle and naturally hypoallergenic on your little one's skin. I also love the high quality of the clothing, and the beautiful colors, textures, and patterns.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO AN EXPECTING MAMA?
EVERYONE’S MOTHERHOOD JOURNEY IS DIFFERENT! Give yourself grace, not everything has to be perfect. Motherhood is a learning experience for you and your baby and whatever works best for you both.
