CO Featured Mom: Meet Tammie

 /

Motherhood is a journey as unique as you are, so it can often feel like you're doing it alone. Here at Colored Organics, we love to unite you, even if it's only virtually, to share some wisdom and camaraderie on the rollercoaster journey of parenting. We are so excited to share some insights on motherhood from California-based mama Tammie!

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF!

I’m Tammie, a full-time product designer and mom to Serena. We live in the Bay Area with my husband and our poodle. I share little snippets of baby chaos, beauty, and petite style that actually works for a mom on the go. Most days I’m juggling meetings, meal prep, and chasing after her — and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it.

WHAT'S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A PARENT?

Seeing her personality come out more every day. The new words she learns, the way she looks for me in a room, or runs into my arms after daycare — those small moments feel big.

WHAT IS THE MOST SURPRISING THING ABOUT PARENTHOOD?

How exhausting and beautiful it can be at the same time. I didn’t expect to feel so stretched but also so sure that this is exactly where I’m meant to be.

WHAT DOES SELF-CARE LOOK LIKE TO YOU?

A solo shopping run. A workout when I can fit it in. It’s less about luxury and more about small resets that help me show up better.

WHAT CHORE WOULD YOU FOREVER OUTSOURCE?

Laundry. Especially the tiny clothes.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF COLORED ORGANICS?

The quality of softness, especially knowing it’s gentle on sensitive skin. I also love pieces that feel timeless and neutral but still elevated.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO AN EXPECTING MAMA?

Don’t stress about doing it perfectly. You’ll figure it out as you go. And take tones of photos — even on the messy days. You’ll want them later.
