Motherhood is a journey as unique as you are, so it can often feel like you're doing it alone. Here at Colored Organics, we love to unite you together, even if it's only virtually, to share some wisdom and camaraderie on the rollercoaster journey of parenting. We are so excited to share some motherhood insights from Minnesota-based mama, Madi!
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF!
Hi there! My name is Madi and I am a mom to Hank and Lottie and wife to my husband, Nate. We are from Northern Minnesota and love all things outdoors. We live for summers at the lake, drinking lattes at our favorite seasonal coffee shop and making memories with our family!
WHAT'S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A PARENT?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a parent is the love that I have for my children, and seeing that love reciprocated. There’s nothing like the feeling of my two-year-old snuggling with me before bed or my one-year-old giving me a huge sloppy kiss!

WHAT IS THE MOST SURPRISING THING ABOUT PARENTHOOD?
I’m surprised at how ever-changing the day-to-day can be! Shortly after I get a routine down it seems that I have to adjust it, which is exciting at times but different. It’s definitely taught me to be more relaxed!
WHAT DOES SELF-CARE LOOK LIKE TO YOU?
At this point, self-care looks like finding a half out of the day to sit in silence- whether that’s before we start our day, at their nap time, or even after bed. Lately taking a bath after bedtime has been that for me!

WHAT CHORE WOULD YOU FOREVER OUTSOURCE?
Hands down doing the dishes! They are never-ending and can pile up so fast around my house.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF COLORED ORGANICS?
I love how Colored Organic’s clothing is made with the highest quality. I have countless items from my oldest that have been passed down to my youngest and I am impressed with how they look brand new after so much use!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO AN EXPECTING MAMA?
Don’t get too hung up on other people’s opinions on your baby if your gut says otherwise. Trust your instincts - you know your baby best!
