WHAT'S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A PARENT?

The little smiles, the laughs, the milestones—those precious moments during breastfeeding and watching them grow into amazing individuals. I’m so proud of both my sons. Being a mom is my greatest achievement and fills me with the deepest sense of pride.

WHAT IS THE MOST SURPRISING THING ABOUT PARENTHOOD?

How much singing is involved! Haha, as a mom to a newborn again, I feel like I’m constantly singing, even though I’m not the best singer. But he loves it, and that’s all that matters.

WHAT DOES SELF-CARE LOOK LIKE TO YOU?

Self-care is sneaking in a little meditation while holding my son as he naps, taking walks together, or hopping into a bath soak for a moment of relaxation. A facial mask, some gua sha, or even getting a massage is a total treat. Recently, my husband and I took turns getting massages while away with our baby, and it was pure bliss! Day-to-day, it’s really those little moments that help me fill my cup so I can be more present and a better mom.

WHAT CHORE WOULD YOU FOREVER OUTSOURCE?

Washing pump and bottle parts! It feels like a full-time job. I never dealt with this with my first son, who I breastfed until he was 4, but with this little one, who had oral ties, I have to pump after each feeding to fully empty, and sometimes supplement with a bottle. It’s a whole new experience for me!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF COLORED ORGANICS?

Colored Organics makes it so easy to shop for cute, clean, natural fiber clothing. Years ago, I committed to only buying natural fibers, and it’s harder than you’d think! When I had my son, I made sure everything on my registry was natural fiber, and organic when possible. Colored Organics is my go-to for all of that.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO AN EXPECTING MAMA?

Tune out the negativity, whether it’s about childbirth or parenthood in general, and focus on the positive stories. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family, and most importantly, trust your motherly instincts. You know what’s best for you and your baby.
