CO Featured Mom: Meet Carolina

Motherhood is a journey as unique as you are, so it can often feel like you're doing it alone. Here at Colored Organics, we love to unite you, even if it's only virtually, to share some wisdom and camaraderie on the rollercoaster journey of parenting. We are so excited to share some insights on motherhood from Pennsylvania-based mama Carolina!

TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF!

I’m Carolina, a former professional tennis player, content creator, and mom to our almost two-year-old daughter, Isabella. My husband also works in the tennis world, so the sport is still very much a part of our family life. Motherhood has become such a meaningful part of who I am, and I love creating a childhood for Isabella that feels full of little adventures, time outdoors, travel, and simple everyday moments together. She’s incredibly curious and independent, and seeing the world through her eyes has made me appreciate those little details so much more.

These days, I love sharing pieces of motherhood, travel, style, and our everyday family life, while also pursuing my interests in acting and modeling. I think becoming a mom has brought a completely new perspective to everything I do and has made this season of life feel especially meaningful.

WHAT'S THE MOST REWARDING PART OF BEING A PARENT?

Watching her grow and discover the world. From realizing she has little hands, to learning to talk, run, and getting excited about the smallest things—it’s so special and bittersweet to watch. Now she’ll randomly come up to me, give me a kiss, or say, “Mamá, te amo,” and those little moments make everything worth it.

WHAT IS THE MOST SURPRISING THING ABOUT PARENTHOOD?

How much it changed me as a person. I knew becoming a mom would change my life, but I didn’t expect it to change what I wanted from life, from myself, and even from my relationship. My priorities and dreams look so different now, in the best way.

WHAT DOES SELF-CARE LOOK LIKE TO YOU?

Making time for one thing a day that makes me feel like myself. It can be a workout, my skincare routine, getting ready, taking a class, having lunch with a friend, or even watching a movie in bed uninterrupted. Motherhood can easily become your whole world, so having that little bit of time for myself helps me come back feeling more present for her.

WHAT CHORE WOULD YOU FOREVER OUTSOURCE?

Dishes, without a doubt! I love cooking, but cleaning everything afterward two or three times a day feels never-ending. Laundry is a very close second.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF COLORED ORGANICS?

The peace of mind of knowing my baby is wearing beautiful pieces made with organic, thoughtfully chosen materials. I love that the pieces are simple and beautiful while still being something I feel good about putting on her.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO AN EXPECTING MAMA?

Talk openly with your partner and don’t be afraid to say exactly how you feel or what you need. We don’t have family nearby, so for us, learning to communicate and really understand each other has been so important. Sometimes you need help, and sometimes you simply need your partner to understand how tired or overwhelmed you are. The more supported and happy you feel, the more you have to give to your baby and your family.
