August Give: Project Sweet Peas
/

For our August Give Back, we are proud to partner with Project Sweet Peas, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting families and caregivers of premature or sick infants, as well as families impacted by pregnancy and infant loss. Through thoughtful resources, financial assistance, and emotional support, Project Sweet Peas helps families navigate some of the most challenging and vulnerable moments of parenthood.
A stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) can bring uncertainty, stress, and unexpected challenges for families. Project Sweet Peas works to make that experience a little easier by ensuring parents feel supported, involved, and connected throughout their child's care. Their programs are designed to encourage family-centered care while providing resources that address the emotional, practical, and financial needs that can accompany a NICU stay.

Since its beginnings, Project Sweet Peas has provided complimentary NICU care packages to families across the country. Filled with thoughtful items and resources, these packages help parents bond with their babies, celebrate milestones, create memories, and find moments of comfort and normalcy during their time in the hospital.
The organization also recognizes the financial strain that can come with having a child in the NICU. Through its Food & Fuel Assistance program, Project Sweet Peas provides monthly gift cards to families across the United States to help offset everyday expenses. Additional programs include hospital events, educational resources, and peer-to-peer support that connect families with others who understand the unique experience of having a premature or sick infant.

Project Sweet Peas also makes a lifelong commitment to families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Through remembrance memory boxes and keepsakes, families are given opportunities to create cherished memories with their babies. Peer-to-peer support and an annual candlelight vigil continue to provide spaces for healing, connection, and remembrance long after families leave the hospital.
We are honored to support Project Sweet Peas and their work to surround families with compassion, connection, and meaningful resources when they need them most.To learn more, donate, or get involved, visit their website.
