April Give: WestSide Baby

For our April Give Back, we are proud to partner with WestSide Baby, an organization dedicated to ensuring children have the essential items they need to grow into healthy, safe, and supported members of their community. Through the collection and distribution of diapers, clothing, and equipment, their work helps bridge a critical gap for families facing financial hardship.

WestSide Baby’s mission is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves to have their basic needs met. In partnership with their community, they provide essential items to children in need across Seattle, supporting families during some of their most challenging seasons.

Access to basic necessities like diapers is often overlooked, yet it is a significant challenge for many families. There is no federal assistance for purchasing diapers, leaving parents to cover the full cost out of pocket. As a result, many families are forced to make difficult choices, from stretching diaper usage to going without other essentials in order to afford them.

WestSide Baby works to address this need directly. Through a unique distribution model, they collect donations from the community, sort and prepare items, and distribute them through a network of more than 100 partner agencies. These partners work closely with families and ensure that essential items reach children who need them most.

In 2025 alone, WestSide Baby distributed more than 2 million diapers, along with thousands of hygiene products, serving over 28,000 children in their community. Their impact continues to grow as they respond to the increasing need for basic children’s items.

By providing essentials that keep children safe, warm, and dry, WestSide Baby helps reduce stress for parents and creates a stronger foundation for healthy development. Their work not only supports children’s immediate needs but also strengthens families and builds more resilient communities.
